Noodle fans take note. Fukuoka ramen chain Uma Uma Ramen has thrown open its doors at Forum the Shopping Mall in Orchard, courtesy of the Iggy’s folk.
With a very concise menu, the choice of the eponymous noodles ($14), which are Hakata-styled and boast delicate noodles prepared with an age-old family recipe in a tonkotsu broth, is a no-brainer. Alternatively, there’s a spicy char siu option ($16) with leeks and spring onions.
Load up on your choice of additional toppings like tamago ($1.50) and menma (bamboo shoots; $0.50), or order up appetizers like yaki char siu and chicken karaage (both $8).
