Get coffee, pastries and pastas to go at Jamie’s Italian’s new deli

While best known for their handmade pastas, pizzas and other hearty Italian cuisine, Jamie’s Italian, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s namesake restaurant chain, now offers reason to pop by bright and early before heading to the office.

If you’ve happen to pass by the VivoCity outlet recently, you’ll have noticed that the frontage of the restaurant has changed, and that a new deli counter that’s open from 8.30am has been added to it. What you’ll find on the morning menu here are coffees (from $3.50), Gryphon Teas (from $4.50) and a selection of Danish pastries and muffins ($3.60). There are also more wholesome eats like Baked Oat and Banana Protein Square, Lemon and Marshmallow Tart and Dark Chocolate Nut Bars, all at $3.60 each, if you feel like treating yourself.

The deli becomes appropriate for light, quick lunches from 11am, with items like salads, sandwiches and wraps being served. There are soups, pastas and stone-baked pizzas too (all $5.50-9.60) for those looking for fuller meals. After 6pm, some of the main restaurant’s antipasti dishes and nibbles become available at the deli as well.

Whatever time of day, Jamie’s Deli is meant to be a grab-and-go concept, but nothing’s stopping you from eating at the 16-seater communal counter perched just outside the deli front. You can also order the deli items if you’re dining in at the restaurant.

There’s no news yet that the deli will open in the Forum outlet too, so for all you people in Orchard, you’ll just have to wait and see.
