International celeb chef Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro Moderne is officially getting a makeover.
Known for being a great post-theater restaurant, the place is known for its huge burgers (that cost a pretty penny), as well as great French bistro classics, so think steak tartare, seafood platters and a medley of seafood found in the classic bouillabaisse dish.
Expect to see the place transformed into a more inviting and open space in a couple of months. The team are introducing a new oyster bar, with live shucking stationsat the entrance, as well as a new menu. New dishes include Mediterannean-style octopus with Valencia oranges and almond puree and a decadent dover sole with Oscietra caviar.
In the meantime, get your Sino-Franco CNY fill with dishes like Lyonnaise “chicken rice” with shaved black truffles, basmatic truffle rice and tender chicken poached in jus in a pig bladder. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.
