Known islandwide for its delectable French pastries, Tiong Bahru Bakery (TBB) needs no introduction. And now that the local cafe chain has debuted a sparkling new outlet along the foothills of Fort Canning Park, one thing’s for sure: more fresh bakes are coming our way.
The new locale pays homage to the old swimming complex with design elements like lifeguard stands, donut floats and unique signages.
So in the restored buildings that once belonged to the now defunct River Valley Swimming Complex, find plenty of exciting outlet exclusives. They include the delicious Sourdough Croissant which is filled with a creamy and crunchy praline cremeux, as well as the Nutmeg Teh Halia and Sourdough Kvass—a sparkling Eastern European beverage brewed with sourdough yeast.

To allow guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of the historic landmark while enjoying TBB’s offerings, the seventh branch has also created special picnic sets now available for purchase. Each Picnic Bundle comprises an assortment of bakes, salads and beverages, packaged with TBB take-out sets and held in a customised picnic bag for convenience.

Plus, if you’re in need of a picnic mat too, you can always grab one from the merchandise area situated right in front of the kitchen which offers a clear view of the baking process.
