Cloud kitchen concepts have become a normal part of our food delivery landscape. And as delivery services proliferate, customers have become increasingly demanding, wanting everything from faster delivery times to greater variety within their vicinity. Not to mention better prices, of course.
That’s where the GrabKitchen concept comes in. For those not familiar with it, it’s essentially a co-working space but for kitchens, and with a focus on delivery. At the new GrabKitchen Aljunied, 18 different brands have set up shop there, with more possibly coming in the future.
This allows a GrabFood delivery rider to pick up from any or all of the offerings from just one location, making it a highly efficient system. This also means we can order from any of the 18 concepts in a single transaction via GrabFood and be charged just one delivery fee.
Concepts at GrabKitchen Aljunied currently include familiar names like Chinese restaurant Putien, Korean fried chicken favourite Bonchon, DIY sushi chain Maki-San, and lots more. Give Western grill guys El Carbon a try too, or order from Japanese bento specialists Yayoi if you’re looking for delicious, fuss-free options.
For dessert, Spike Empire Durian will sort you out nicely with their range of puffs and ice cream—or simply get your boba fix delivered by PlayMade. You can even order alcohol and snacks too, from brands like Eureka Popcorn, Irvins Salted Egg and The 1887 Bar.
And while GrabKitchens are primarily set up for delivery, you can definitely dine-in too. Plonk yourself down on one of the few seats around. Just don’t expect it to be a regular restaurant dining experience.
However you look at it, this is all great news for those staying at the Aljunied-Geylang area. Here’s hoping GrabKitchen concepts spring up in more heartland neighborhoods soon.
GrabKitchen Aljunied is located at 110 Lor 23 Geylang, Victory Centre #02-07.
