An iconic Singapore novel comes alive in this interactive dinner theater experience

The theatrical feast specialists at Andsoforth are collaborating with the Singapore Writers Festival to bring one of Singapore’s most iconic books to a new audience.

Regarded as Singapore’s first novel, Goh Poh Seng’s 1972 work If We Dream Too Long tells the story of Kwang Meng, a young dreamer trying to find himself in 1960s Singapore. In this adaptation, guests will travel back in time to meet Kwang Meng and his friends as they pass through a series of five rooms. All while enjoying a four-course meal of 1960s Singapore cuisine created by Chef Chung Deming of The Quarters and Kush SG. Custom cocktails, wine and beer will be available at the on-set Paradise Bar.

The event takes place over three weekends from May 13 to 29. Tickets are available for $88 from the Andsoforth website. As with their previous events, the location is still a secret.

Here’s what to expect.
