The Impossible Beef is probably one of the most well-liked meat analogue products on the market, and now the brand behind the plant-based meat alternative is introducing another ingredient to surprise meat lovers and thrill vegetarians: Impossible Pork.
Made from plant-based ingredients, Impossible Pork is a ground pork substitute, not unlike the famed Impossible Beef.
The said taste profile of Impossible Pork: a mild, savoury flavour with balanced umami richness. Best served in eats like spring rolls, meatballs and dumplings. Impossible Pork is certified gluten-free and contains no nitrates.
Launching Oct 4 in Hong Kong and later in November at restaurants in Singapore, the meatless pork has already received the stamp of approval from consumers in Hong Kong, with nearly half of the survey participants preferring it to regular pork during a blind taste test.
In fact, renowned chef David Chang will debut Impossible Pork at his popular Momofuku Ssam Bar at Pier 17 in New York City starting tomorrow.
