Our traditional ice cream sandwiches have just gotten an upgrade. F&N Magnolia, maker and distributor of the sweet treats sold and loved at the many ice cream carts dotted around Singapore, is now offering desserts made with the brand’s iconic flavours at The MiniBar.
Stop by the quaint new Magnolia @ The MiniBar, located by the main entrance of The Centrepoint in Orchard, for elevated versions of ice cream cart favourites like Rainbow Pressed Sandwiches, Milk Shakes, and even Ice Cream Cocktails.
The prices are kept surprisingly wallet-friendly, despite its central location. In-house specials such as the Popiah Ice Cream Roll and Rainbow Pressed Sandwiches will only set you back $2.50 each, while the Signature Ice Cream Cocktails are going for just $22 a pair, or $16-$18 per drink. Some great ice cream cocktails include the Yin Yang, which features Teh Tarik ice cream, whiskey and cinnamon liquor.
This is not F&N Magnolia’s first foray into the dining scene, though. During the 60s, the former Capitol Building saw the first Magnolia Snack Bar, which served cakes, ice cream and milkshakes. Today, Singaporeans can reminisce and enjoy recreations of their childhood desserts, together with some drinks, right in the heart of Orchard Road.
