Here’s some good news for brunch fans: Jason Atherton’s Keong Saik Snacks has just launched an all-new Weekend Punch Brunch.
Executive chef Andrew Walsh has put forth egg-heavy dishes like ibérico ham and Manchego cheese croque madame with a sunny side up ($19) and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with crispy bacon, baked tomato and mushroom ketchup ($17), as well as English-inspired goods including Yorkshire pudding with beef rib, onion gravy and roasted foie gras ($24) and roast chicken and ham pot pie ($23).
For those looking for items on the lighter side of things, give the fresh fruit salad with yogurt ($11) or muesli with truffle honey and milk ($6) a go.
If you’re in need of a pick-me-up, “librarian” and bartender Stefan Ravalli has concocted tipples such as Red Light Mary ($19) with four-pepper vodka, tomato juice, house-made celery salt, their very own Dijon pickle mary mix and chili sauces for a bit of a kick, and Business & Pleasure ($20), a Cognac- and Amaro Montenegro-based cocktail with passion fruit, cava and a spritz kaffir lime perfume. There’s also the Morning Bath ($75; serves four), a ginger bubble bath of gin, chilled hibiscus tea, maraschino, watermelon shrub, cracked coriander and rose essence.
Available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11am to 4pm. Check out their Facebook page for photos and more updates.
Just a short walk away, their sister establishment tapas joint Esquina has recently introduced $39 three-course lunch sets from Monday to Friday.
