Look out for Singapore’s first food truck: The Travelling C.O.W

I-S lamented about the non-existence of food trucks in Singapore earlier this year. Enter the city’s first food truck to the rescue: The Travelling C.O.W.

While it’s early days yetafter all, they only got their mobile wagon license approved in the middle of Novemberfounder Karen Cheng is optimistic and excited about their “gourmet mobile food van”.

“We’ve traveled around quite a bit and seen food trucks around the world, but not here in Singapore. So we thought this would be something interesting and different we could do. Our thing is gourmet bistro fare on the go, comfort food that speaks to people. But it’s not just about the food, it’s also a social thing that’s about a different lifestyle and having fun,” says Cheng.

The Travelling C.O.W makes an appearance this Saturday, December 8, from 7:30-10:30pm at specialist cocktail bar Néktar’s second anniversary party. They’ll be serving up bites such as mac & cheese, mini crab cakes with wasabi mayo, beef bourguignon with mash, and spicy Thai basil chicken in a bun, so catch them while you can.

If you’re keen to find out more about them and where they’ll be popping up next, be sure to check out their Facebook page.
