Look forward to the birth of yet another icon within the luxurious InterContinental Singapore. Come 20 May, LUCE by Davide Giacomelli officially opens their doors to welcome diners to their unique bistronomic experience.

 

 

Following a global hunt for the next culinary superstar, LUCE is helmed by Chef de Cuisine Davide Giacomelli and Restaurant Manager Artem Viglione. Weaving in the warm ambience of bistro dining, LUCE aims to bring diners on a comfortable gastronomic discovery of Italian dining. The restaurant’s ambience is further enhanced by the abundance of natural light in the day and soft, warm chandeliers in the evening.

 

 

Holding over 13 years of culinary experience at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, Chef Davide’s deep expertise and passion for Italian cuisine made him stand out from the pool of internationally acclaimed chefs during the search.

Inspired by Italian classics and authentic flavours from Chef Davide’s hometown, LUCE’s menu features irresistible stars like the Bruschetta starter. The minimalistic yet flavourful dish features grated garlic, Parma ham, fresh buffalo mozzarella, and cherry tomato concassé.

 

 

Other highlights not to be missed include the Parmigiana di Melanzane, a mille-feuille of fried aubergine baked with fresh tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella, and parmesan au gratin, the Acquerello Lobster, featuring carnaroli rice cooked in lobster stock, served with half a Boston lobster and chervil, and the Merluzzo alla Puttanesca – pan-fried Atlantic cod paired with the robust flavours of traditional Puttanesca sauce – for seafood lovers.

Complementing the experience is a curated selection of Italian wine, from Barolo, Amarone della Valpolicella, and Brunello di Montalcino, to those produced from autochthonous grape varieties, and craft cocktails created by Artem, including their signature InterContinental Negroni, concocted with oak barrel aged botanist gin, red and white vermouth, jasmine tea, Campari, and bitters.

 

 

Then end your meal on a high note with their range of contemporary Italian sweet treats. Go for the unforgettable LUCE-misu, conceptualised by Executive Pastry Chef Desmond Lee, this creative interpretation of the classic Italian Tiramisu features Mascarpone cream espuma, espresso syrup, lady finger sponge, and crunchy feuilletine.
