Mediterranean and South East Asian restaurant 21 on Rajah is now open at Days Hotel, headed by well-traveled director of culinary operations Paul Then.
The menu includes tapas like roasted tomatoes with feta cheese ($11.90), crostini of smoked eel ($13.90) and prawn and bacon roll ($13.90). There are also more filling mains such as Marseilles seafood bouillabaisse for two ($38.90) and braised citrus duck leg with oranges and black olives ($25.90).
Asian dishes include chicken curry with roti prata ($16.90) as well as Singapore Laksa ($18.90). Sweet-wise, expect comforting pannetone bread and butter pudding with dates ($14.90) and light strawberry tofu cheesecake ($13.90).
Wash down the meal with inventive mocktails including the Mid-Summer Dream ($10) with rose syrup, pineapple juice, soda water and mint leaves, plus Black & Blue Berries Punch ($10) featuring berries, soda water, honey and lime juice. Or drink from an affordable list of mainly New World wines (from $54/bottle).
The eatery also offers a two-course set lunch ($18) and value-for-money four-course set dinner ($48) for two including appetizers, tapas, mains and dessert.
