Michelin-starred Il Palagio’s executive pastry chef Domenico Di Clemente to introduce new desserts at Dolcetto by Basilico

Regent Singapore will host Domenico Di Clemente of Michelin-starred Il Palagio on January 16, when the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze executive pastry chef will introduce new desserts at Dolcetto by Basilico.

Chocolate fiends will be especially pleased with the fresh offerings like Amedei dark chocolate cake (from $9), and Crostata Al Cioccolata (from $9), a chocolate flan tart. For those who prefer something a little less sinful, Clemente will also be launching items including Torta Alla Nocciola (from $8), hazelnut cake with raspberries and vanilla Bavarian, and Tartalleta Alle Pere (from $8), pear and almond tart.

Aside from the additions to Dolcetto by Basilico, Clemente will also be lending his expertise at two events during his visit. First up is A Tuscan Affair on January 17, an all-you-can-eat Italian feast with dishes like Angus beef with portobello mushrooms and dark chocolate jus, complemented by free-flowing Ca’del Roco Prosecco D.O.C. Extra Dry and Clemente’s new creations at Tea Lounge.

The second is a four-course Franz Haas Wine Dinner on January 18 at Basilico, with goods like Amedei dark chocolate cremoso with “Amarelli” liquorice meringue and Sassolino ice cream, paired with Moscato Rosa 2010.
