One of Singapore’s glitziest food festivals is back. This year, the World Gourmet Summit will be held on Apr 14-25 with more top notch local and international chefs whipping up bite-sized gastronomy and lengthy degustation dinners.
Although the venues haven’t been confirmed, there are tons of workshops, talks, wine tasting sessions, cocktail workshops, celeb chef dinners and themed wine pairing meals. To give you an idea, last year’s events included a wine dinner with super luxe winery Mouton Rothschild, a Macallan whisky and wagyu dinner and guest chef stints from the likes of Sang-Hoon Degeimbre and Alexander Gauthier.
Currently, the website allows you to vote for categories like Rising Chef of the Year and Restaurant of the Year, with the winners announced in April. Last year, winners included JAAN for Restaurant of the Year and its chef Julien Royer as Chef of the Year, as well as Bacchanalia bagging the New Restaurant of the Year.
