There’s a new bakeshop/deli in town, overdoughs. Marketed as a quick and dirty version of its sister restaurant, Artichoke Café + Bar (just across the street), it charms with its score of offerings housed in what feels like a grungy, hip primary school tuckshop.
Sample fare like fatayers (meat pie pastries), Lebanese za’atar flatbreads, cashew filo cigars, syrup cakes and Israeli milk puddings.
You can also cart home spice blends, Arabic cheese and Turkish jams.
