New bar and lounge The Vintage Room has just opened at Duxton Hill in a space formerly occupied by French seafood specialist Le Petit Cancale, serving cocktails, wines and a range of bar bites by executive chef Damien Le Bihan.
The establishment is a project by Deliciae Hospitality Management, which also runs nearby restaurants L’Entrecôte and Sabio Tapas Bar and Restaurant. Outfitted with Old School furnishings like Persian rugs, mismatched picture frames with vintage posters and raw iron tables, the place is the work of interior design firm The Stripe Collective.
Drinks include cocktails like the Mojito “V” style ($14), a mix of spice rum, ginger liquor, brown sugar, soda, strawberry and lime, as well as a list of mostly Old World wines from Champagnes like Delamotte Brut ($16/glass, $79/bottle, $158/magnum) to reds such as Albert Bichot, Bourgogne vieilles vignes de Pinot noir, France 2010 ($16/glass, $79/bottle).
Bar bites include The “Vintage” Monsieur ($18), a take on the classic croque monsieur made with black olive ciabatta, plus a platter of cold cuts ($38), a selection of Bayonne ham, pate de campagne, duck rillettes, andouille de vire and saucisson sec ($38). There are also lighter items like mozzarella with tomato and basil pesto on Poilane toast ($16).
