The only three-week-old inITALY Bar Ristorante in Chinatown is care of owner and chef Mario Caramella, who was most recently helming Forlino.
Located in a shophouse space along Craig Road formerly occupied by another Italian spot Amo (it’s a few doors down from Selfish Gene Café), the interior’s been spruced up to a cheerful canary yellow.
Coming out of the kitchen are dishes such as chili- and garlic-spiked squid ink linguine with bottarga, prawns and broccolini ($18) and gran bollito misto ($28), a meat medley of boiled beef, veal, pork and chicken served alongside homemade sauces like salsa verde, salsa rossa and rafano.
For those after a post-work tipple, you’ll be pleased to know that happy hour runs from 6-7pm Mondays to Saturdays with wines starting from $10 per glass. There are even complimentary appetizers served up at 7pm.
