National Gallery Singapore is already home to some pretty cool bars. Both the lounge at Italian place Aura and the recently turned-one Smoke & Mirrors offer fabulous sunset views over the Padang. But before you think the National Gallery is all uppity, the ground level cafeteria is launching what sounds like a very cool alfresco pop-up bar.
The trendy Gallery & Co. has already been impressing us with their regular block parties and their most recent pasar malam-inspired edition. So we’re curious to see what they have up their sleeve with the opening of Pop Bar, throwing open its doors from Nov 1-Jan 2.
The courtyard bar is a collaboration with some pretty exciting people: hip Telok Ayer lunch spot Park Bench Deli (who certainly know how to throw a party themselves) and probably Singapore’s leading bar consultancy Proof & Co. (most recently responsible for the drinks program at Zouk’s Red Tail cocktail bar).
The Pop in Pop Bar, we’re told, stands for pop music, pop art and pop culture, so expect a fun and casual place with excellent drinks and bar food executed to perfection.
