800° Woodfired Kitchen is bringing the heat to Singapore. Owned by Miami Heat mega-stars Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem, the new restaurant in Kinex mall happens to be a Muslim-owned pizzeria thanks to Homegrown Deelish Brands, which also introduced Fatburger and other halal-friendly chains to our shores.

Here, indulge in a variety of flavourful, wood-fired pizzas as the Napoleon-style options include the Philly Cheesesteak, Spicy Meatball, or Tartufo, a scrumptious truffle mushroom pizza. Those who prefer customising their own ‘za can also do so as over 10 ingredients and three different bases are available for all to choose from.

Longtime patrons of the homely joint Enjoy Eating House and Bar at Jalan Besar will be pleased to know that there’s a new outlet in town—literally. Located right on Stevens Road, the new spot near Orchard Road continues to showcase the vibrancy of local cuisine as 10 new additions join the restaurant’s repertoire of classic, comforting eats.

Besides the White Pepper Alaskan King Crab, also tuck into the refreshing Yu Sheng Ceviche and Fresh Oysters. In fact, large groups of non-picky diners should just opt for the Sui Bian Set that comprises an array of delicious dishes so no one has to go through the hassle of choosing.

Joy Luck Yum Sing

Joy Luck Teahouse may have already opened outlets all across our little red dot to quell Singaporeans’ hunger for delectable, Hong Kong-style egg tarts and pineapple buns, but there’s now a new concept catering to our love of bubble tea. Known as Joy Luck Yum Sing, the BBT counter at Funan specialises in their Pearls of Joy series which features healthier pearls made from seaweed and fruit to boast a chewier bite and fewer calories.

Sip on any of the three beverages in this series including the Lychee Fizz, Sour Plum Fizz and Honey Lemon Fizz—all created with Hong Kong and local influences in mind. There’s also the classic Pearl of the Orient, a Hong Kong-style bubble tea made with authentic HK milk tea and brown sugar tapioca balls for a distinctive flavour.

Tipsy Bunny

If this restaurant’s moniker sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because it is. Run by the same group that opened eastside hotspot Tipsy Penguin and popular gastrobar Lady Wu, Tipsy Bunny is all about artisanal hand-stretched pizzas, freshly-shucked oysters and cocktails. That means you can enjoy all sorts of good eats like the Guanciale Truffle Pizza topped with cured pork, jalapenos, bechamel and mozzarella; alongside refreshing (and hilarious) tipples such as Tipsy Old Fashioned or the Mojojojojito. Located at Jem, consider Tipsy Bunny your new, accessible modern-day tavern dishing out good vibes, drinks and eats.
