I-S reviews Japanese restaurant IKYU, an industrial chic Tiong Bahru hotspot.
“Unlike some other hot restaurants, it’s not all form and no substance. Their impressive foie gras with pink pepper ($16.50) is served daringly rare and the blowfish tatsuta-age ($15.5) is skilfully fried so it stays tender. But there are also less adventurous plates like the premium IKYU California roll ($15.50)—made luxe with the addition of a jumbo tempura prawn—and the crispy spicy salmon roll ($8.50) for those who come more to be seen than to eat.”
