There aren’t many specialty cinnamon roll concepts in Singapore, let alone one that sells unique, savoury flavours. So if you’re looking to try sticky buns with a twist, then look no further than the all-new Rrooll.
Located at Jewel Changi Airport, Rrooll is Singapore’s latest specialty cinnamon roll kiosk, and the first to dish out both sweet and savoury delights.
Founded by Wilbert Tedja who was previously from the banking industry, Tedja was inspired to create a cinnamon roll kiosk during Singapore’s circuit breaker period. An ode to his childhood snack, the concept came into fruition after months of thorough R&D. That included the development of recipes, selection of flour and even rolling techniques.
With eight flavours available, Rrooll’s offerings are divided into the Sweet and Savoury series. The Sweet Rolls include delights like the Cocoa Orange, Classic Cinnamon, Hazelnut Rocher and Sweet Cheese, while the Savoury Rolls entail options like the Garlic Onion & Cheese, Hawaiian and Japanese Curry.
And probably the most controversial or wacky flavour, the Japanese Curry can be thought of as a savoury-sweet piece topped with breadcrumbs and honey chicken ham.
But don’t just take our word for it; head down to Jewel Changi Airport to try this funky, one-of-a-kind snack and Rrooll’s other enticing treats while you’re at it.
Rrooll is now open at #B2-266 Jewel Changi Airport. All rolls are priced between $3.10-$3.90. More information available here.
