It looks like French is the new Italian, with the latest arrival in Singapore being Balzac Brasserie which opened just last Thursday. The Paris-inspired bistro joins the ranks of newbies Brasserie Gavroche at Tras Street and La Maison Fatien in Duxton.
The kitchen is helmed by chef Jean-Charles Dubois, previously of The French Kitchen. Look forward to home-style fare and classics such as homemade foie gras terrine ($24), duck confit ($26) and crème brûlée ($9).
An interesting cocktail list ($16-22) can also be found, including the Calvados Collins ($18).
