If you work in Tuas (poor you), the Third Place at Tuas 7 may provide respite from the dreary gray walls of your office. Open from Monday to Saturday, this zi char place also has a cafe and a bar, and it may be the next cool hangout to be at (especially if you’re working overtime). Also, the pictures look pretty promising.
During the day, this place offers food akin to those at the hawker center, but the place offers some interesting zi char options at night. There are 12 stalls that serve different types of cuisine, including their signature dish, the salted egg cheese crab. There are also other dishes like the nonya style red grouper and fried prawn balls with macadamia nut and orange sauce. On the Western front, there is pizza and chicken wings. While prices differ from day and night options, many of these dishes look like they are worth a try.
For those who are chained to their desks, there are take-out options on their website. Orders have to be at least $8 with a 20 cent surcharge for each box.
