There’s a new cafe by Montigo Resorts in the west of Singapore

It honestly feels like a second wave of pining for <a href="http://www.montigoresorts.com/nongsa/" target="_blank">Montigo Resorts</a> has hit Singaporeans everywhere. The famed upscale Batam resort was one of the hottest places to go to back in 2012-13 because of its Mediterranean stylings and all-white Santorini vibes (and also because it's so near). They just launched <a href="http://sg.asia-city.com/city-living/news/montigo-resorts-just-launched-i… target="_blank">their own ferry service</a>, complete with perks like priority boarding and fast clearance at immigration. Now they’ve opened their own cafe right here in Singapore.
You won't get the same resort-like vibes at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Cafe-Montigo-240808529762035/" target="_blank">Cafe Montigo</a> as you would over in Batam, especially since it’s located over at The Star Vista; but they have promised “top-notch service standards” comparable to the resort. We are however, cautiously excited about what they have to offer on the international menu, which was created by the resort’s award-winning head chef.

While the heritage of Indonesian cuisine remains at the heart of the menu, with delicious servings of ayam panggang berempah (grilled spiced chicken) and martabak manis (traditional Indonesian sweet thick pancakes), they will be offering local faves, western staples and fusion dishes too, like pandan pancakes topped with coconut ice cream and gula melaka shavings.
In the drinks department, options include fresh handcrafted beverages like the elderflower lychee and honey lemon yuzu coolers, Salted Caramel Speculoos Shake and ice-blended Sea Salt Caramel, as well as caffeine-spiked creations like their signature Avocado Espresso.
To celebrate its opening, you’ll be able to get $5 off every $15 spent for all items from now till Nov 11.
