This hawker stall is now a full-fledged (and incredibly affordable) restaurant

From a hawker stall in Serangoon Gardens to a full-fledged restaurant in International Plaza on Anson Road, The Wicked Garlic serves up Italian grub and surprise, surprise—prices remain pretty much the same even after the move.

You’ll find a variety of thin crust pizza, pasta and risotto on offer, including classics like a cheese pizza ($6.70), pasta choices such as bolognese ($5.70) and vongole ($9.70), and a crab meat risotto with tomato cream sauce and brandy ($12.70). A small selection of sweet treats is also on offer; there’s tiramisu, pannacotta and a walnut dark chocolate brownie ($4.70 each).

For drinks, you can order yourself a cup of flavored latte. There are choices like a salted caramel latte ($4.70) and an apple pie latte ($4.70). If you’re in the mood for beer, there’s Heineken on tap (from $5.70) as well as Erdinger (from $9.70).
