If you’re more into your chilled wines than your hard liquor, here are four upcoming weekend wine events to check out.
Wine Discovery (Nov 14-16)
As a part of ewineasia’s 10th anniversary celebrations, they’re hosting a weekend extravaganza full of wine. Book yourself a spot at one of their dinners or head to the Big Wine Review where you get to taste over 100 different wines by 60 wineries worldwide. There are even 17 visiting winemakers like Nino Franco Prosecco and Mt Difficult from New Zealand.
Sake Pairing Dinner with Chinese Cuisine (Nov 21)
Moving over to Japan, this six-course dinner pairs six different sakes to traditional Teochew dishes. There’s also a sake appreciation course, where you get to learn more about the different styles of sake, as well as sampling sake cocktails by Drinkdings.
Robert Parker’s A Matter of Taste (Nov 22)
Leading wine reviewer Robert Parker has an afternoon of wine tasting at the Singapore Art Museum. Walk through the different exhibition halls while you swill, sip and discover more about over 100 different top-scoring wines. Plus, if you get your tickets and use the promo code “IS” you’ll get a set of six crystal wine glasses for free.
Sindhi Wine Launch (Nov 28)
A new Spanish wine debuts in Singapore. Sindhi 2009 is harvested and bottled by a Spanish family-run winery in Murcia, which also happens to be the highest vineyard in Europe. Meet the owners as you sip on free flow Sindhi with canapes like Serrano ham, olives and cheese.
