It doesn’t matter whether or not you’ve skipped a gym day if you eat at any of these health-conscious restaurants. Calories don’t matter as long as they’re good calories, right?
Afterglow
Going vegan has never been this hip. The farm-to-table eatery offers wholesome grub in an industrial-chic space. On offer are deconstructed sushi bowls, salads, fresh-pressed juices and even craft beers.
Blu Kouzina
It’s all about fresh produce here with spiced olives, mezze platters of baba ganoush and hummus and grilled meats. The vibe is super relaxed with a blue and white Santorini-like theme, so relax over the weekend over bountiful plates of feta-stuffed red peppers and an oven-baked eggplant dish with potatoes and minced meat.
Ci Yan Organic Vegetarian Restaurant
Despite the overly Tibetan-Buddhist vibe (yes, there are tons of statues and scriptures) this humble eatery serves up brown rice set meals, braised veggies, mock duck noodles and lotus root soups.
D’Bell
Craving a spicy kick? Head to this place that has healthier Indian cuisine. Instead of ghee and butter, everything’s cooked in healthy oils without compromising the taste. We love the black dal and butter fish cubes cooked in coconut and curry paste. Plus, they’ve got killer lunch deals for the CBD crowd, too.
Glow Juice Bar + Cafe
If you’re in Orchard, pop into the Hilton hotel for a healthy dose of juice, sandwiches and bowls. They’ve got fresh fruit juices, steak sandwiches and even Japanese udon bowls that are all made with super healthy and wholesome ingredients.
Original Sin
We’re going to admit that we have a soft spot for this chill Mediterannean place in the tranquil Chip Bee Gardens. A stalwart in the Holland V dining scene, the restaurant serves up vegetarian food so delish that you won’t realize you’re not eating any meat. Don’t miss out on their special risottos and the to-die-for mezze platter.
VeganBurg
A lot of people rave about the fact that this place is fast food, healthy and frankly, quite delicious. Burger buns are made of organic wholemeal grains and patties contain no dairy, gluten or trans fats. We loved the cracked pepper mayo burger with a vegan patty that was succulent with the right amount of spice.
Well Dressed Salad Bar & Cafe
OK, we’re putting a salad bar on this list just because it’d be a shame to leave this little kiosk out. The no-frills places has got five signature salads, like the Well-Dressed Green Goddess with wasabi-like dressing, on top of a DIY salad bar. If salad is too much of a cliche, it’s also got vegetarian pastas, sandwiches and (for a little Thai touch) olive fried rice.
