If you’re in a last minute scramble and need some poultry to add to the festive table here’s where to find it, whether you’re looking for ready-made or are up to cooking it from scratch.
Cold Storage
The year-end usually signals supermarkets to start bringing in turkeys. If you’re feeling ambitious and want to cook up a storm, there are 5-6kg whole frozen turkeys ($11.30/kg) available, but if you want a ready-made one, opt for the traditional roast turkey ($57.99), 3-6kg Butterball turkey ($57.99-82.99) or a 3.6kg rosemary roast turkey ($61.99). Available while stocks last.
Goodwood Park Hotel
Taking a more unconventional route is this steam-baked turkey ($198) with fresh chestnuts, ham and vegetables served with yam rice. It’s a little more Asian-tinged with a medley of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, carrots and spring onions. Plus, it comes with oyster sauce and jin hua ham. Available until Dec 26.
JP Pepperdine
The folks behind Jack’s Place have their very own classic roast turkey that’s pretty affordable too ($98). It’s ready-made so you can just plonk it on the table. Available until Jan 11.
Marriott Hotel
The Forecourt Stall at this Orchard Road hotel has a roast turkey ($172) with foie gras stuffing and a cranberry-port wine sauce that’s super rich and decadent. Available until Dec 22.
NTUC Fair Price
This supermarket has got some really affordable ready-made things like a traditional roast turkey ($41.99), a halal “tasty” traditional turkey ($45.90) and a rosemary turkey supreme ($47.90). It all comes with chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce. Available while stocks last.

While American frozen turkeys range from 3.5-6.3kg ($54.90-69.90), the ready-made ones come in flavors like Bedazzling Bibik ($89-108) with herbs, spices and Nonya-Thai style spicy gravy; Pretty Princess ($108-138) with Tawny port, prune juice, Christmas spices, prune stuffing and a homemade port-prune sauce; and the traditional roast turkey ($79.90-119.90) with chestnut stuffing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce. Orders need to be picked up. Available until Dec 23.
The Organic Grocer
If you’re eco-conscious, this online grocer sells raw organic free-range turkeys ($130) this festive season. If you need an all-out, no-frills feast, opt for their Season’s Finest box ($210) that contains a turkey, organic cranberry sauce, vegan mushroom turkey gravy and some drinks. Available until Dec 22.
