White truffle season is back and here’s where to find them

Truffles aren’t always in season but when they are, we all go a little loco for these aromatic bulbous morsels of flavor. The end of the year always signals white truffle season so here’s a list of places that have special menus to mark the occasion.

Gordon Grill

Goodwood Park’s European restaurant gets in on the truffling action with dishes like wagyu beef tartare with smoked quail egg; a panna cotta of cauliflower with langoustine, caviar and chive oil; and a breakfast-like egg confit dish with onion, bacon fricassee and smoked potato foam. If that’s not enough truffle, they also have 2 gram supplements for a seasonal price.

ilLido

This romantic Sentosa restaurant has pretty extensive offerings when it comes to white truffles. Whether you like it on a tenderloin carpaccio with caesar dressing or a stracchino cheese ravioli with balsamico di Modena, there’s plenty of truffle to go around. They’ve got a pretty delish sounding sea urchin sabayon with scallops and sunchoke, as well as a Kurobuta pork chop Milanese with shallot gratin on the menu. For those who want to go for their staple a la carte offerings, they’re offering white truffle shavings for $10/gram.

inITALY

A cozy Italian restaurant with some of the best pasta in town has a succinct white truffle menu. 3 grams of white truffles are generously shaved over dishes like the taleggio risotto, a foie gras terrine with chicken jelly, and a potato foam with creamy porcini mushrooms. You can also ask for extra truffle for $9/gram.

Truffle Gourmet

The name says it all. This truffle-centric restaurant has Alba white truffles on dishes like pumpkin gnocchi with butter sauce; parmesan risotto; a steamed scampi and artichoke with butter sauce; and even a Zabaglione cream truffle dessert. Of course, all of these dishes come with shaved white truffle slivers.
