The World Street Food Congress set to run at the F1 Pit Building from May 31-June 9

The World Street Food Congress, a hawker food festival organized by Makansutra, is set to run at the F1 Pit Building from May 31-June 9.

The event will include a World Street Food Jamboree (showcasing dishes by 35 top hawker masters from around the world) as well as a two-day World Street Food Dialogue featuring noted speakers like local food name and event organizer, KF Seetoh, American culinary personality Anthony Bourdain, editor-in-chief of Saveur magazine James Oseland and Indonesian food expert William Wongso.

Carol Anne Wah, the director of marketing and communications for Makansutra, says, “We feel street food is a culture that needs also to be professionalized, and want to explore ways to preserve street food art, flavors and heritage for future generations.”
