9Goubuli

This storied restaurant has roots dating back to 1858 in Tianjin. The modern but Oriental decorated place specializes in baozis, or Chinese buns, with fillings like pork, wagyu beef and a vegetarian option packed with glass noodles, tofu, egg and spring onions. Buns aside, it has an extensive menu of classics like xiao long bao, onion pancakes and Shanghainese wontons in red oil vinegar, alongside larger platters of Sichuan-style fish slices in chili and chilled salted duck.
