Barfly

It’s a shame that punters don’t seem to associate the chic and elegant Barfly with boozing more than dining, because its food is truly sensational. There really are few places that so seamlessly transform from a sophisticated restaurant to a happening bar without you having to leave your table. Come late, because the beautiful crowds don’t really arrive till after 8:30pm, and come hungry, because you’ll want at try least two courses. We can’t say enough about the superb food here—almost everything we had was splendid. Particularly outstanding were the starter of shiro maguro and the mains of crackling of suckling pig, the crustacean and squid ink pasta and the king prawn risotto—all so delectable, we mopped up every last bit, despite being desperately full. Even better, they were offering one-for-one martinis and house pours, which makes this the perfect place to head out with a big group of friends to celebrate something special. Their large booths are ideal for bigger groups. Good food and great service too. Barfly is just about the perfect one-stop-shop for a night out.
