The scenic two-storey restaurant seats 190, offering diners the choice to take their meal at the lively alfresco area or indoors, among the modern-rustic industrial decor. On the menu are country favorites like Buttermilk Biscuits ($10), Shrimp ‘N’ Grits ($39), and the restaurant’s 100-year-old recipe Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken ($35). Unique to The Bird is the Low Country Laksa, a Singapore-exclusive dish of snapper filet and Carolina gold rice pirlau drenched in caramelized ginger and coconut broth.
Expect also the same high quality, hand-crafted cocktails of the original Miami outlet; The Bird’s extensive beverage program includes innovative mixes like the Bird Old Fashioned with bacon-infused bourbon ($27), Watermelon Sling ($24), and the locally inspired Ong Bak ($25).
