Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant | Review

Brotzeit boasts top-notch service and a commendable menu. The crowd, which comprises mostly of expatriates, was lapping it up as they downed the many offerings of beer, liquor and the wurstel (read: Sausages).

One of the must-tries here is the Knoblauchwurst (smoked pork garlic sausage with roasted potatoes and sauerkraut). The meat was firm and the skin had bite, while the accompanying sauces of mustard and the horseradish were pretty good too. We also like the Naturschnitzel vom Huhn (grilled chicken breast with sour cream sauce served on mixed salad and mashed potatoes) which has a suitably salty underlying taste to it (just the way the Germans like it, according to the restaurant manager).

Desserts such as the Bayrishe Crème (Bavarian chocolate cream with fresh strawberries) are commendable too. The next time you’re around VivoCity, be sure to pop by Brotzeit, even if just for a drink or two.
