Buono Trattoria

Fast food doesn’t have to be just about soulless burger chains. For a quick and affordable lunch option in VivoCity, there’s Buono Trattoria—a home-grown Italian restaurant serving no-frills Italian favorites straight from the heart.

Unsurprisingly, the signatures on the menu are hand-made pizzas and pastas. To ensure the freshest pizza crust, all the dough is made in small batches and kneaded by hand. Heading the kitchen is Chef Aloysius Lim, who brings to the table more than 20 years of experience in Italian, Spanish and Mexican cuisine.

While the variety of the pizzas available is limited—there are only five permanent flavors—customers can customize their own toppings, starting at $10 for an eight-inch pizza. Pastas are customizable too, and a decent range of sides and desserts round up the menu. It’s probably a stretch to say you’ll leave the place with an authentic slice of Italy, but Buono Trattoria is certainly a welcome addition to the shopping mall for when you want an honest, hearty meal.
