Café 2000

For a standard hotel café, Cafe 2000 does fine. It delivers exactly what you would expect—reliable though not exceptional food, a predictable menu of typical Western and Asian dishes, and a pleasant but serviceable atmosphere.

Some things that stand out are its fresh juice bar that mixes delicious and healthy juice concoctions, and its absolutely scrumptious chicken pies—the one thing that is exceptional about this restaurant—that sell out daily. From the regular menu we had a chef’s salad, a teriyaki burger and some chicken rice, all of which were OK. The portions were generous, and the food tasty enough but nothing was great.

The service was acceptable and all in all, Café 2000 is perfectly adequate for a quick lunch or coffee while you’re in the CBD.
