Chef Daniel’s Kitchen

It’s quite a surprise to find a restaurant as chic as this atop the mainly teenage hangout, Bugis Iluma. This restaurant owned by Chef Daniel Koh, formerly of Holiday Inn’s Xin Cuisine, features a spacious and ligneous interior. Despite dropping in on a Friday night, we were pleasantly surprised at the relaxed atmosphere; a perfect place for a date or to catch up on gossip. We began our meal with the Six Senses Mushroom Soup, which was pleasing. Interestingly, we got slices of cabbage to add some crunch to the soup instead of the usual croutons. Up next we went with two dishes from Chef Daniel’s “greatest hits” selection. Popular among the people and recognized in the culinary circuit, his spring chicken with foie gras was impressive. Service was fast, attentive and friendly, plus with its cool ambience and value-for-money prices, we’ll definitely be back in the Kitchen.
