If you’re looking for a fun take on the well-known chow fun noodles found all around America, then Chow Fun Bar & Restaurant helmed by Singaporean chef-owner Alicia Lin is the place for you. The 2,000 sq ft restaurant features Hollywood and Oriental orange-and-black vintage decor with indoor seating for up to 40 and outdoor seating for up to 20. Located at The Grandstand, they serve up 18 plates of Asian and Western noodle dishes.
Among the highlights are ginger and scallion rice noodles, “Kung Fu” fried vermicelli in dashi broth, tom yum cream udon, wild mushroom and truffle pasta, bone marrow lemon and parmesan spaghetti and the vegetarian black and white sesame noodles. Tasting portions start at $2.90 while regular servings are $15.90. Dessert options include lychee granita and crystal jelly ($4.90) and salted egg and chocolate lava cake ($8.90).
