CM-PB’s high ceiling, barren floor and the occasional Asian-inspired ornament on display made us feel like we just stepped into a bohemian loft complete with a cool, temperate environment. The wait staff was attentive enough to ask about our meal intermittently and the bartender at the island bar was friendly and knowledgeable.
We opened our meal with the CM-PB salad, which consisted of salmon, tako and ebi drizzled in citrus soy olive oil dressing with a generous serving of mesclun salad. Every morsel was crisp, fresh and tangy, leaving us wanting more. For the main event, we chose the foie gras burger, which came with a chunk of wagyu beef and lightly-salted fries. The meat was a little tough and the grease from the foie gras had us reaching for our napkins frequently.
A little disappointed, we decided to cheer ourselves up with the Malva pudding for dessert. A combination of South African pudding and French vanilla bean ice cream, we were expecting an aromatic mixture of flavors, unfortunately, it turned out to be overly sweet. But if you’re looking for a cozy chill-out music bar and food is not your piority, this is your answer.
