FatPapas

The people behind burger bar Fatboy’s has opened FatPapas, the halal version of the original, right beside Kampong Glam stalwart Blu Jaz Cafe.

Just like Fatboy’s, the menu features value-for-money speciality burgers with beef, lamb and chicken options. Get the classic Wimpy (beef patties, fried egg, turkey bacon and BBQ sauce; $15), or try the new Black Peppercorn Burger ($13), for those who like a peppery kick to their burgers. Besides the usual mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries, sides like chili chicken boners ($11.50) and BBQ beef ribs ($22) are welcomed new additions. The build-your-own-burger option remains as well.

To wash it all down, try the milkshakes that come with a variety of flavors including gula melaka (we’re eyeing this one), coconut, mango and chocolate for $10 a cup.
