Fish & Co.

This Wheelock outlet of Fish & Co is done up in warm wood paneling, soft lights, mod furniture, a long counter and has a lovely view of leafy Orchard Boulevard—sleeker than its cozy Glass House counterpart. However, the witty nautical one-liners on the staffs’ T-shirts are the same in both outlets. We ordered the popular fried calamari for a starter and it was deliciously crunchy and succulent with just enough breadcrumbs. We had to remind the staff to send us the condiments as the restaurant was quite packed, and they were trying to keep up. The ever-popular seafood platter for two is great value-for-money for seafood lovers as it served up soft dory fillets, peri-peri prawns, fries, rice and huge mussels which were more than enough for two. All the items were tasty and fresh, especially the dory. Top up your mains and get a soup and the fab kola tonic. Fish & Co has a cheery vibe that’s perfect for a date or your friends. The staff are generally personable and helpful—if slightly distracted—but it’s still a fun dining experience in the heart of town.Fish & Co. is Halal.
