Flo

Sister restaurant of New Zealand-inspired restaurant Cafe Manuka (founded by Singapore celebrity Candyce Toh) is Flo, which stands for food lovers only, serving halal western food with Asian influences. It’s not a place where you will swing by from town or after work, but if you live nearby IMM, it’s a decent option with a cozy space.

On the menu, they have breakfast options like Flo’s Rosti Special, a dish of freshly made grated potato with salad, egg, marinated pulled chicken slices and sour cream ($15) and small classic NZ pancakes with fresh berries, honey and yogurt or cream ($12). For the mains, they are offer something completely different: Korean-inspired chicken with fried anchovies and fried kimchi brown rice ($16) and Korean beef bulgogi sandwich ($15). Save your stomach for sweets like Bountiful Choco-Brownie, with crispy waffle, choco-brownie, walnut and vanilla bean ice cream ($14.50).

Highlights on the drinks menu include iced butterscotch almond latte ($7), hot chocolate ($6.50) and iced strawberry earl grey tea latte ($8). Fresh juices and soft drinks are also available.
