Frank

Looking for a satisfying lunch that doesn’t induce post-meal coma? If you’re not in the mood for healthy grain bowls or pricey salads, there’s Frank, a container kiosk for sit-down or takeaway meals of gratifying hotdog buns. Plus, it’s located smack in the middle of the CBD at the outdoor ground level of NTUC Centre.

Opened by the same people behind Brotzeit, Frank offers a menu of hotdogs that can satiate most cravings. There’s the more classic Nurnberger Dog ($10)—a long Nuremberg sausage topped with potato salad, mustard, mayo and chives and wrapped in a toasted pretzel bun—for something reliable. Or try the signature K-Dog ($11)—Kurobuta sausage, kimchi, sweet and spicy glaze—and Tokyo Frank ($12)—Kurobuta sausage, daikon, miso dressing, nori, bonito flake, teriyaki glaze—if you’re hankering for Asian flavors.

If you, like us, prefer something more local, get the Satay Chicken Sausage ($7) instead. It doesn’t come with a bun, so order this as a side or if you’re just feeling peckish. The sausage and peanut sauce combo goes surprisingly well together. For fuller meals, there’s the contradicting Burger Dog ($22), available on Frank’s dinner menu. It’s basically a twirled beef sausage encased within a brioche bun and filled with cheddar, grilled onions, lettuce, and burger sauce.

Enjoy your meal by the alfresco seating area beside Marina Bay (and people watch while you’re at it) with bottled craft beers by local brewery Rye & Pint or Lowenbrau Lager ($10/pint) on tap.
