Pronounced “Fire Kitchen and Drink”, the guys behind this CBD restaurant are playing up the kitschy days of yore theme, complete with scratchy murals depicting cavemen finding fire. The menu is equally simple but by no means bland: it’s full of Southeast Asian-tinged Josper-grilled dishes like ribeye with Java curry dressing, whole Maine lobster with shallot-lemongrass bechamel and seafood linguine with laksa leaves and Thai basil. It’s not a bad place to stop off for after-work drinks, either. The restaurant’s got some interesting wines by the glass as well as a happy hour deals that you can sip on, on the small street-facing patio.
