Giraffe Restaurant And Bar

Coupled with just the right touches (such as warm colorful lights and sensual lounge music) to make the place cozy, Giraffe is a new two storey restaurant-cum-bar that scores on ambiance. It has sleek and minimalist décor with dashes of sophistication. The menu flaunts primarily continental cuisine. We started our meal with the buffalo mozzarella stack, which comprised a stack of mozzarella cheese, char grilled eggplant and slices of tomatoes but it tasted a little bland as we couldn’t really taste the basil pesto. Luckily, the piping hot mushimono (steamed salmon) redeemed the kitchen. This dish consisted of a thick slab of salmon fillet steamed with delicious teriyaki broth. Accompanied by oyster mushrooms, carrots, seaweed and bee hoon, it earned our thumbs up. Rounding things off was a warm brownie served with tangy orange sorbet. Although it tasted pretty much like brownies everywhere, it met our expectations. This new offering from Fish & Co has cool décor and food that ranges from the not-so-good to pretty yummy. But beware, we found the portions small, so if you favor quantity over aesthetics, you might be slightly disappointed.
