Gyoza Bar

Folks usually pair gyoza with beer. But this chic joint matches the dumplings with fancy champagne (from $98). A new concept in Singapore, gyoza wine bars are already popular in Japan. Hidden on the second floor of a North Canal shop house (just upstairs of sister eatery Ramen Matsuri), this spot has just three main items on the menu: Pan-fried Gyoza (from $8.50), Boiled Gyoza ($9.50) and Soup Gyoza ($12.50). Order from their simple menu — it’s scrawled on the walls — and then dig into your dumplings side by side Japanese and local office workers who drop by for after-work drinks.
