Hansul Korean Dining Bar

Joining the line of Korean restaurants that fill Tanjong Pagar Road is Hansul Korean Dining Bar, which takes prides in their collection of drinks said to be not found anywhere else in Singapore. The restaurant is started by entrepreneur Haden Hee, who is also younger brother of actor Julian Hee. He’s also behind two other Korean restaurants, Kimchi and Guksu. 

Group Executive Chef Choi Minchul, a former food trainer at MBS will helm the kitchen at Hansul. A variety of skewer dishes are available for you to grill them on the spot. Choices include chicken leg ($4), boneless beef shortrib with cheese rice cake ($6), Vienna sausage ($3) and prawn ($4). If you’re with a large group, other items on the menu like honey butter chicken bumbuk ($24) and wasabi chicken wings ($9.90) will make good choices. Crowd favorites like deok bok ki ($25), budae jjigae (aka army stew; $25) and traditional Korean pancake ($9.90) are also available.

They place plenty of emphasis on their drinks menu, with a focus on Korean liquor. You can find everything from soju to rice wines and Korean fruit wines here. Options include Jeju Hanrasan Soju, possibly the most popular drink for Koreans ($22), moscato soju ($18) and the medicinal Solsongju ($138).
