House of Peranakan Petit

It’s no longer about cafes in Tiong Bahru with this modern take on Peranakan food. The small 30-seater restaurant run by a Peranakan family is actually the new offshoot of Katong classic, Peranakan Inn. The menu is full of Peranakan classics like otak otak ($12), ngoh hiang ($120) and mains like itek tim soup ($10) and babi assam ($16) made with sour plum and beanpaste. Plus, they haven’t forgotten about dessert, with durian chendol ($8.50) and gula melaka sago pudding ($6.50) as a part of the extensive menu.
