Formerly Koon Kee Restaurant (which was established in 1971), this quaint retro diner in a ’50s shophouse at the heartlands serves Thai and Chinese dishes, made with generations-old recipes. Groupies should do well with its signature Kombi-Nation platter ($30 for 4 pax, $50 for 8), which has five of the eatery’s all-time favorites including handmade Thai fishcake, handmade prawn roll and crabmeat omelette. Love the vintage vehicles parked outside? Kombi Rocks’ rides department has an awesome fleet of VeeDubs and other retro cars available for rent. The collection of vintage memorabilia, watches, guitars, clocks, fans, bikes are available for purchase as well.
