Fans of Fukuichi Japanese Dining, previously located at TripleOne Somerset, and regulars of veteran chef John Phua will be pleased to know that the team behind the Fukuichi have opened up a new Japanese restaurant just a hop, skip and step away at The Centrepoint. Named Kyoaji, this understated restaurant located on the fourth level of the shopping mall brings back all the popular favorites off the Fukuichi menu. While Kyoaji doles out a variety of omakase menus and sushi and sashimi take pride of place—the owners of the restaurant own tuna catching vessels and have access to the freshest of seafood from Japan. Chef Phua is also known for his innovative creations inspired by his regular trips to Japan and informed by his experience in preparing Japanese fare.
